Safety Protocols
Procedures have been designed to promote a safe and enjoyable event for all participants, volunteers, and spectators.
Participant Expectations:
Do not participate if you are feeling sick or ill, and/or have a fever or if you have been in contact with someone unrecovered from COVID-19.
Persons from high-risk groups for COVID-19 complications should consult their physician before participating.
Do not share personal items, such as hydration, energy gels, towels, etc.
Participants may be required to exit the event should their actions not meet expectations and/or they are creating risk for themselves or others.
Headphones are permitted on this course, however participants should be able to hear any directions or announcements for their safety.
Public Safety Message:
Please join us in being vigilant of your surroundings during the Lew Blond Run. Please report any suspicious people, objects, or vehicles along the course to a race official or law enforcement personnel. Thank you for helping to keep yourself and those around you safe.
Event Alert System:
In the event of an emergency requiring the race to be canceled, course marshalls will be notified and instructed to direct participants off the course. Follow up communication will be made with all participants as soon as possible.
Hydration:
Participants are encouraged to bring and run/walk with their own pre-filled hydration bottle.
Hydration will be provided on-course.
Bottled water and pre-filled samples of BIX recovery hydration will be provided at the finish post-race.
First Aid:
First Aid stations will be provided on site.
